Steve Jobs, who influenced a generation, is often listed as one of the worst bosses in the business. He is a role model of young entrepreneurs for surviving in a wild world of traditional thinking business men. But at office, I can’t seem to like Steve Jobs equally.

Steve Jobs - Not so innocent

Yes, he is aggressive, single-minded and offending. He doesn’t want any other voices in the room than his. That’s the only reason employee ideas always fail at Apple. And I have at least 5 reasons to talk about this:

  • Steve Jobs’ ego should be fed. That means some adulatory… This kind of lifestyle is usually disturbing in IT business.
  • If I did come with the idea of iPhone, Apple would never release a mobile phone! There’s no respect for your ideas and projects, although top companies in tech are dying to find an idea to invest. In contrast, Apple fires/blames you for spending time on thinking differently.
  • Steve Jobs sometimes can’t decide who’s right and who’s wrong. If you watched the movie called Pirates of Silicon Valley, you’ll get it right. He’s so lost in thinking. He’s too philosophic for a business man. The movie also mentions he even denied his own daughter for no reason.
  • Steve thinks he found the God, the nirvana or whatever… Cult of the Apple and fanboys/fangirls booms this effect.
  • Reality distortion field… We always hated it. The charm and charisma of Steve Jobs is irresistible. He can easily sell you the free air you breathe. He can always find a reason to prove he’s right.

I’m neither telling Steve is a jackass nor he is perfect, but Apple today stands strong because he is managing it. His domain is totally different from many others.

Microsoft, the God. Full Stop.

God, RegisteredWhoa! Great news everybody! Steve Ballmer is looking forward to hear good news from Yahoo!, after putting $45 billion dollars on the table to suicide them. And I’m sending you a copy of the letter Ballmer wrote to Yahoo!

Wow, wait a minute what are those guys thinking at Redmond? Merging two loser companies in management won’t bring a working company out, Ballmer. Did you get Alzheimer or what? I’m so happy you’ll loose money out of this deal. And I immediately started to guess what’ll happen to Yahoo in a few months:

  • Shut Flickr down, cause it’s elegant and only Yahoo service that works.
  • Yahoo Mail users, we’re sorry… but we’re coming with a better deal: Hotmail.
  • Developers on Yahoo, creates amazing open source frameworks. So shut it down, find a way to sell what’s developed.
  • Oh, those guys were PHP - the evil - sponsors, try to look good on them, and then find a way to sue the whole community to stop them.

And the list goes on…

By the way, companies are not our best friends but I felt really sick of Ballmer once again! Officially Microsoft wants to be the only company in the entire world. They should better change their name to “God“. No borders, no religion, no law but Microsoft! I’m proud of you guys… You got John Lennon’s Image totally wrong… Go get some brain first!

This post may sound gay to some of us but I’m about to post a bunch of old Steve Jobs photos from the Apple archives. Usually most people I know is looking for some, that’s why I decided to post a collection. Note that some pictures are from early 90s.

Steve Jobs is not your regular Valley-type nerd guy, bi*ches.

Additionally sorry for not posting a little from Wozniak, Jobs seems to take every photographers attention on himself even in the 80s. Remember if you can’t feed Steve’s ego, one day he’ll find you and the rest is not a peaceful story. He should better fight for a Hollywood job, don’t you think so?

iTunesThere is a new speculation in Cupertino at the headquarters that Apple may offer a new alternative for US downloaders of iTunes Store. According to the new model of Apple, iTunes users will be available to download unlimited number of digital audio from the store in exchange of a static fee which will be included in your ISP bill.

On the other side, U2’s Bono decided to start a war on illegal downloaders with helps of Yahoo and AOL. He wants the ISPs to cut off the services of users who participate in illegal file sharing. It’s also claimed that Bono asked an old friend, Steve Jobs, to join forces against bootlegging. We’re not sure but Apple’s new solution may be a response to Bono’s request.

In the end of day, nobody’s sure if this is gossip or not but if this model is the next step of Apple in the digital world, I’m begging that AT&T won’t be the only ISP within this deal.

Erection of Steve JobsAs expected, after MacWorld 2008 there is a hype on blogs and media about the MacBook Air. For instance, some of the heroes went a little far away to prove that it’s even possible to change the non-replaceable MacBook Air batteries on a plane! Are you kidding? This parody is just ridiculous and heart-breaking because it only makes people feel what Apple producing is fake and weak and only forced marketing can save this company.

I don’t even know why the expectations about Apple have always been quite big. Every year, earth wants us to change the world. How is this possible, our company is made of humans and Steve Jobs is not Jesus (this time, I’m not kidding). Just think about our competitors, we’re usually developing what they brought in 5-10 years in a single year. Although our development and innovation hits the top, fans’ unnecessary stuff makes all the hard work senseless and just turns everything into a parody.

Hello world, we’ll play the new Britney Spears after she passes away! Stay tuned…

Please next time you’re writing Apple, just think about it, and you don’t even need to think different anymore.

Edit: Just look at MacBook Air Ad, those guys are trying to make a fortune out of it. Totally senseless.

Poor Microsoft shifted back their upcoming operating system, Windows 7, (code-named Vienna) to the year 2011. So if they scheduled a 2011 release, most probably it’ll take a few more years for them to ship the product really, physically. I’m just curious how many tens of operating systems we can release while they are working on a copied version of our 5 year old products.

Windows 7

But if we have to be objective, it’s not easy to develop such an operating system for every kind of PC hardware and make it work. This is what the regular fan boy misses; give props to the Redmond if they deserve it. But, this complexity should take them to work on a single product called Windows. Consequently, they won’t put their all eggs in one basket, because they know they will never deliver a decent operating system.

In fact, who said our strategy (hardware + software package) is worse than those crappy programmers, at least we easily test and more easily maintain!

My First Macbook Air

Oh my godness, my first MacBook Air just arrived and forget about all the wacky sounding comments of mine about this laptop. It’s just ART! I’m sending the unboxing pictures of the machine.

Isn’t it beautiful… Yes I’m working for Apple $100,000 a year to get one of these this earlier. You can check out the idea’s creator post to download the paper to print your own laptop. And be sure that I’m not the only at Cupertino to cause over usage of laser ink, glue and band, I’ve already seen 10-15 paper laptops around.

Just right after the device’s announce, the typical fan reviews are a lot different at the moment for the new MacBook Air. It’s not earth-shaking and it’s nothing revolutionary.

MacBook Air

But the main question is “Did Apple even need a tiny laptop line?”. Apple’s traditional users are usually based on a multimedia audience says the president of Machintosh Uses Group, Scott Armstrong. So for such a audience, we must be insane to release a low performance machine without any FireWire input and only one USB port. This is getting worse if you remember the big effort Apple has done to promote FireWire

As a conclusion the target market of the Air is just tiny. And a USD $1799 machine is good choice for neither existing Apple audience nor the new converts who looks for portability. Why Apple designs, spends million of dollars and finially releases a machine noone will use? Macbook AirCraft looks like a better option to me.

In Davos at the World Economic Forum, Billyboy came with a sarcastic idea called “Creative Capitalism“. What? Translation: Make people slaves, get them down with AIDS, then help a few bucks to cure.

Bill Gates at Davos

What happens in the new order of the world with Billy’s new idea? Money will fully control the democracy, expanding its power on the justice and legislation. So what a perfect scene for Microsoft!

Steve and I, talking about stocks…

Tags tags: , ,  | 1 comment Digg this story!

Steve Jobs Today I talked to Steve personally, after the first stock failures. In fact he was not really down for losing at least 200 million bucks in the short term, whatever he is still holding about 5m shares of Apple. Steve always says “Apple stocks are good in long term”, that’s why I’m a holder and buying more while it’s still low.

Well, back to Steve “This is just Apple”, he whispered slowly, a bit shy. We talked about Barack Obama’s Apple mention at David Letterman’s show and laughed our asses off. OK, his idea was not that cruel, Steve is just being really rude releasing new devices the day you buy the previous model. This even happened to me with the last iPod nano I bought to my sister!

Anyways, I think last year team put too much effort into iPhone and in fact, whole company is tired. MacWorld 2008 was a shock to many people but we’re not God, are we? Well, maybe Steve has a Jesus Christ potential.
